Apply for an ID card

What this service does

You can apply and pay to issue an ID card for yourself and your children.

You’ll then need to go to a service point for fingerprints and a photo. When the ID card is ready we’ll let you know so you can go pick it up.

Cost

Details

If you have the previous ID card
  • if it expired you can proceed
  • if it’s not expired you can proceed. You’ll hand it in when you go to the service point
If you don’t have an ID card
  • if it’s never been issued or it expired you can proceed
  • if it’s been lost or stolen you will state this when we ask you and you will proceed
ID card for your child
  • your child will need to go to a service point for a photo. For children between 12 and 18 we’ll also take fingerprints
  • if your child is under 12, we’ll ask the other parent for consent. An authenticated CY Login will be needed
  • either you, the other parent or an authorised person can pick it up when it’s ready
