Apply for an ID card
What this service does
You can apply and pay to issue an ID card for yourself and your children.
- if it’s never been issued before
- if it expired
- if it’s been lost or stolen
You’ll then need to go to a service point for fingerprints and a photo. When the ID card is ready we’ll let you know so you can go pick it up.
Cost
- adult: €30
- under 18: €20
Details
If you have the previous ID card
- if it expired you can proceed
- if it’s not expired you can proceed. You’ll hand it in when you go to the service point
If you don’t have an ID card
- if it’s never been issued or it expired you can proceed
- if it’s been lost or stolen you will state this when we ask you and you will proceed
ID card for your child
- your child will need to go to a service point for a photo. For children between 12 and 18 we’ll also take fingerprints
- if your child is under 12, we’ll ask the other parent for consent. An authenticated CY Login will be needed
- either you, the other parent or an authorised person can pick it up when it’s ready
Who this service is for
You can use this service if:
- you are over 18 years old
- you or your children are Cypriot
What you’ll need to use this service
You’ll need a CY Login account (formerly Ariadni). It's a secure online personal account that gives you access to government services.
