Apply for a passport
What this service does
You can apply and pay to issue a passport for yourself and your children.
- if it’s never been issued before
- if it expired
- if it’s been lost or stolen
You’ll then need to go to a service point or fingerprints and a photo. When the passport is ready we’ll let you know so you can go pick it up.
Cost
- adult: €70
- under 18: €45
- fast track: €50 extra
- if the passport is lost, the amount doubles for each time lost
Details
If you have the previous passport
- if it expired you can proceed
- if it’s not expired you can proceed. You’ll hand it in when you go to the service point
If you don’t have a passport
- if it expired you can proceed
- if it’s been lost or stolen you will state this when we ask you and you will proceed
Passport for your child
- your child will need to go to a service point for a photo. For children between 12 and 18 we’ll also take fingerprints
- we’ll ask the other parent for consent. An authenticated CY Login will be needed
- when it’s ready, you or the other parent can pick it up
Fast track
- no appointment needed
- pick-up on the same day if you go to the service point before 12 noon
- pick-up only from Lefkosia District Administration. You can authorize someone to go on your behalf
- for a child under 18 we’ll ask the other parent for consent

You can use this service if:
- you are over 18 years old
- you or your children are Cypriot
What you’ll need to use this service
You’ll need a CY Login account (formerly Ariadni). It's a secure online personal account that gives you access to government services.
